The Smith River Complex Fire took our property August 16th.
Wish list
People ask us if we need anything, what kind of stuff they can contribute to our project. Probably the biggest thing we really need is Clear Polycarbonate Corrugated Roofing. While our Solarium survived, the roofing melted in places and almost all of it was damaged. 50 sheets, altogether.
Other items we could use
Blower
Jigsaw
Pressure washer
Portable power stations
Peavey (logging tool)
Chainsaw helmet
Bidet
seeds
Wood stain/preserver
Goat care tools (hooves, etc)
Canning jars
Lumber/plywood
Queen bed sheets
External hard drive

We have worked since 2008 to create this sacred space and focusing on relationship with the land through permaculture/agroforestry, animal husbandry, and wildcrafting. Our focus is a fearless harmony and a positive, healthy, heart-consciousness in the midst of dramatic socio-economic changes. But keep in mind, we're still preppers. Big changes are coming.
Currently, we are open to accepting community members, WWOOFers, interns and guests. Come visit and talk with us if you're interested. Specifically, we are looking for congruent people who are willing and able to help us create the world we want to live in. Read over the web site thoroughly and complete an application.
Noteworthy features: We are self-sufficient, and sustainable in a relatively primitive set-up, especially after the fire this year. It's mountainous and remote, and we have a community agreement about no smoking (of any kind) on our land and also no chemical dependencies/addictions.
